Messages exchanged between ATMs and CorCAD system are formatted as specified in NDC. Problems and device faults are detected based on device statuses reported by the ATMs as well as the transactions statuses and all are stored in a database.
GUI menu gives users full insight into historical and current state of each device ? both technical and cash state. There are menu functions that help users to manage the ATM network by sending various NDC messages. Users gain access to the GUI menu with standard www interface directly from their PC web browser, so no software installation on workstations is required. The web application is served by the freeware Tomcat application server. User access rights are handled by administrators, it is possible to block access to any and each of the web forms.
Users with proper access rights can define information that is displayed on the ATM screens as well as the information that is printed on the receipts, according to the business requirements. Cryptographic keys and PIN security is provided by built-in support for cryptographic messages compliant with Thales HSM devices.
TCP/IP protocol is used for all the telecommunication needs:
- ATM and POS terminals,
- card issuer system,
- HSM devices.
